ICT Department & Office of the Academic Registrar to launch an Electronic Time-Tabling System that will ensure the following;

• Access to any Course Time Table from any location using an internet-enabled Computer or Smart Phone. Time Table Display can be filtered and searched by Course, Lecturer, Course Unit, Lecturer Room)

• Alerting students through notifications (displayed under a noticeboard) about the next lecture, 15 minutes prior to the lecture. (Details include: Course Unit, Lecturer to conduct it, when it is to start, when it is to end, and the Lecture Room).

• Alerting students through notifications (displayed under a noticeboard) about an ongoing lecture (Details include: Course Unit, Lecturer conducting it, when it started, when it is ending, and the Lecture Room).

• Scheduling Tests and Assignments dates so that both Continuing and Non-Continuing students (with Retakes) are able to attend to them without any excuse.

• Ability to print in PDF format the searched Time Table.

This comes in effect at a time when students, especially non-continuing have been struggling, keeping up scheduled dates for Coursework Tests and Assignments; but also a relief to the "analog" approach of accessing Time Tables through physical Notice Boards.

Accessing UTC-Lira Electronic Time Tabling Management System

1. Open any browser of choice on any internet-enabled computer (Laptop/ Smart Phone/ PC) and enter the URL: https://timetable.utclira.ac.ug/

2. Click Enter to browse and display a web page as shown. (The General Time table for all Courses will be displayed)

3. Click on Select Type to choose between Teaching or Test Time Table.

4. Upon type selection, time-table filter drop-downs pops up. You can use the drop downs to search and display the time table by (Course, Lecturer, Course Unit, Lecture Room).

5. Click Notice Board Link on Navigation Menu to display scheduled Assignments, Tests and Alerts for Ongoing Lecture or Next Lecture.

6. Scheduled Tests appear as an event on the Calendar
